Novell to Release 20% of Their Employees | |

I just saw this headline come accross my Google desktop bar, and HAD to rant. In my days in the Valley I've heard all kinds of euphamisms for people getting canned; layoffs, cutbacks, downsizing, RIFs, etc. But NONE are as misleading or inflamatory as "release". For real... they wouldn't have so many problems if the software they developed wasn't completely and totally unnecessary. Good point though, Marc - "release" is as misleading as they come. A more accurate euphamism would be to say "Novell to Fuck 20% of Their Employees." ;)
